"Well your sister was the good choice but he does have a friend that well is an A-hole and I'd very much like to vent out an airlock your um... adopted brother. So I guess that counts as bad choices.
"Fang," Giovanni nodded, though evidently didn't have much in the way of feelings for him.
He sighs. "I don't know of any flaws...in my eyes they don't exist." He grinned like an idiot. "He's even cute when he's mad or happy, or sad...all the time really." He waived his hand.
The doctor snorted. "Oh boy. This one has it bad."
Giovanni chuckled, "perhaps order a lobotomy?"

Zai and Adrianna had met for breakfast and were walking to the lift for bridge duty. Just as they entered the lift Zai cried out in pain dropping to his knees.
Adrianna looked to Zai and crouched down, "Zai! You ok?" She didn't want to get medical involved if it was what he expected from the change he was going through, but concern was all over her face.
"It's not me...Something is wrong. Can we detour to your office. Sabastian...something is very wrong."
Adrianna nodded and offered her hand to him, "alright. We can try. We may still be in range."
The walk to her office was tense and quiet. He stood in the corner as she connected with the station. A friendly Deltan popped up on screen. "Hello Arcadia we're reading. Everything okay?"
"This is a personal call, I'm afraid. Off the books. We need to check in on a Lieutenant Commander Sebastian Walker," Adrianna insisted professionally.
The woman's smile faltered. "Oh dear...I think I better transfer you to the Acting Chief of Engineering Andreleen. She'll inform you of the ... incident." She paused. "Please hold."
Zai was loosing him mind. "Oh my Gods. Something's wrong. Acting Chief? Gods of Capella...." He began to pace.
"Sit down or I will knock you out," Adrianna growled before turning her attention back to the screen, "thank you."
Zai sat down as the image changed to a twitchy Andorian. "Andreleen here." Her eyes widened. "Oh my god Zai! I was just about to place a call to your ship."
Zai's hand shook. "What happened where is he...is he alive...."
She held up a hand. "There was an incident...he was injured. Chief was helped by Captain Baciami and their doc stabilized him. He's in our bay now in surgery."
Zai felt cold all over he shook. "What...w.." He couldn't speak. He looked at Adrianna for help.
Adrianna nodded, pushing aside the fact that her brother was mentioned, "he's alive. He's stable. He'll be ok, though?"
"Yeah the doc on the Captain's ship had Capellan knowledge so when she scanned him she knew why his cells were changing apparently had something to do with you Zai...he's hard to treat. She's in surgery too and they conversed with someone from your world so he's awake and in pain during the whole surgery. It's...still not 100 percent but they think he'll be okay. Just got to take it easy."
Adrianna took in the information on case Zai wasn't thinking straight. "Do you know if my brother-- if Captain Giovanni is still with him?"
"I think he's back on his ship writing a report about it. He was with him whole time they were stabilizing and transferring him. We've got a few Engineers in sickbay waiting on news and we're rotating. Also tactical Chief and his wife, Vanessa, are down there."
Adrianna nodded, "please call as soon as you have news."
“Will do.” She looked at Zai. “Hang in there. We’re all here for him, okay?”
Zai gave a nod.
The call clicked off and Adrianna put a call straight through to her brother, "Captain Baciami."
"Ah, work call," he nodded, "I assume the man in your background is the heartthrob I've been hearing about?"
Adrianna stepped aside, "si, you mind?"
Giovanni shook his head, "he's alright, Lieutenant. Bit woozy, but doctors said he'll pull through. Our doctor got him stabilised in time. He spoke highly of you."
"What happened. How did it happen?" Zai moved closer to the screen. He shook his head. "Hi by the way...nice to meet you... sorry I'm not usually this rude."
"You're friends with my sister-- I would expect you to be rude like her," he chuckled waving him off, "it's fine. I know you're concerned. There were some stowaways they were sabotaging some thrusters or something. Appears he was injured just before. Myself and my crew had just docked and were offering assistance as the base is a bit overrun at the moment."
There was a long pause. Zai wiped a stray tear. "My Gods thank you. I have no words to thank you for saving him."
"Nothing to thank us for," he replied, "if he ever fancies changing back to tactical-- I'd hire him."
Adrianna quickly interrupted in her native tongue.
Giovanni smiled and simply replied in standard for Zai's sake, "no, I mean it. He's genuinely ok. He'll be out for a little while, but my CMO-- the woman who stabilised him, said that it's one of those things that looks worse than it is. She gave him 99.9% odds. The point one being if he decided to run away before they patched him up properly."
Zai let out a breath. "Thank you...I mean it." He gave Adrianna a hug. "And thank you. I'll let you talk to your brother and I'll head to the bridge." He turned to Giovanni. "If you go to Betazed look up my people tell them what you did you will be treated like king. He's as important to me as he is to them."
Giovanni nodded and looked back at Ade, "I'm glad you called. We need to talk-- about Jason."
Adrianna hugged Zai back and turned a little pale. "Sorry, Gio, I need to get to work--"
"Adrianna Na-"
"Bye!" Adrianna closed the coms quickly before looking at Zai, "soon as they call, I'll tell you, ok? Go to work."
He sighed. "Okay. Thank you so much. I'm so glad you were here and your brother was there."
She smiled, "I help where I can. Gawd knows I need to restore some good karma."
