Mission: Stars Around the Well
Location: Various - Starbase 2 & Ships

ON:

"Ah. Good ISH," Giovanni nodded his understanding, "well, at least he is protective, I suppose. My sister can be unpredictable though. If she ever crossed him--" he paused not finishing the train of thought, "alright. So, tell me about your mate."

"Capellan, Eleventh Tribe." The doc said.

Sabastian grunted. "How...did you.."

"Was on Capella for a few years during the worst of the war. Treated many of their people. Looks like your mate is in pre metamorphosis. Scans showing cell changes on your part I'm guessing they told you about this?"

He sighed. "Yes, he did. Xingtian.."

The doctor coughed "As in the king of the freeken tribe?"

Sabastian blushed. "Yeah."

"Damn! You're King's Consort? I'm treating royalty! Anyway treatment will be difficult so get ready for pain. Keep talking I got a ways to go to stabilize."

Sabastian sighed. "Yeah so Zai's Assistant Chief Engineer on the Arcadia. As your doctor said he's Capellan and I've loved him since pretty much the first moment I saw him."

Giovanni watched the exchange, "damn—an actual fairytale about marrying into royalty. I assume he's a good engineer?"

Sabastian smiled. "One of the best. Actually I was in tactical but...day I met him at the Academy I switched to Engineering so I wouldn't be where I am without him. Also a hell of a warrior was part of the Starfleet Engineering Intel / Tact Team during the Klingon war. He's funny, and nerdy." He laughed. "He has a smile that could...light the stars, a dreamer. He's a leader born for it and has a heart bigger then this universe."

"He sounds like a dreamboat," Giovanni replied with a slight chuckle, "tell me, I've always been curious, do members of royal households still do normal stuff like fart?"

Sabastian laughed. "Oh my god he'd love you. But to answer your question, not sure. Not in front of me at least but he did win a belching contest in the academy."

Giovanni chuckled, "gawd, I knew they were more-- for lack of a better term-- I knew they were more human than they let on!"

"Yeah well Zai also is the mastermind behind his ships Engineering Hooch. Beat out our station and all the other ships that were docked at the time." He sighed. "Doc can I ask you something. You've seen this metamorphosis thing?"

Doc grunted as she wiped the sweat off her brow with her sleeve.

"How bad is it."

Doc straightened. "For you nothing major until the actual um...you know but for him. Pain unlike anything you've felt. Like having all your bones broken at once."

Sabastian shuddered. "Shit."

"Look, I don't know the guy, but if he loves you, he'll take the pain which is why he's not told you. Now-- tell me, what does he look like." Giovanni tried to regain Sab's focus. He knew the look on the doctor's face all too well.

"Well Zai is tall like not as tall as me but around 6 feet. He's got black hair, lavender eyes to die for. He's got, like I said before, a killer smile. He's thin but not to thin. Cute button nose. A rich voice that you can't forget when you hear. He sings like an angel. Super strong. Long hair to the small of his back. Some interesting tattoos, one of which is the Engineering brotherhood from his Klingon war days. Swims like a fish." He smiled. "But you know what the best part is?"

"Do tell," Gio smiled.

"He's an artist, not some of that crazy crap coming out of art school now but he can paint these vivid paintings like almost real like you could walk into these paintings. And he loves books. He loves the smell of them how they feel and he can read fast and his mind.." Sabastian sighed. "His mind goes a mile a minute he has this innocence about him despite all the shit he's been through. Gods...I must have incurred good Karma for a thousand lifetimes to get him."

"He sounds almost too perfect -- please, make me feel better about myself. Tell me he has a flaw. Does he snore? Can't cook? Come on."

"Oh man can he cook! I swear I put on weight for the few days he was on station. He loves to bake..." He thought about it. "Flaws...well he lives for others, puts others head of him an that usually puts him in a world of pain." He sighed. "But we're working on that."

"That's not a flaw," Giovanni chuckled, "bite his nails? Pick his nose? Come on, he cannot be perfect. He's definitely got one flaw-- taste in friends if he's friends with my sister." He teased. It was clear it was sibling humour.

"Well your sister was the good choice but he does have a friend that well is an A-hole and I'd very much like to vent out an airlock your um... adopted brother. So I guess that counts as bad choices.

"Fang," Giovanni nodded, though evidently didn't have much in the way of feelings for him.

He sighs. "I don't know of any flaws...in my eyes they don't exist." He grinned like an idiot. "He's even cute when he's mad or happy, or sad...all the time really." He waived his hand.

The doctor snorted. "Oh boy. This one has it bad."

Giovanni chuckled, "perhaps order a lobotomy?"
