His body flew through the air slamming against the bulkhead. Sabastian did not mess up. He'd finally caught the Denobulan who'd been sabotaging his thrusters. He'd called tactical but they were short handed and had asked for help form the docked ships however this slug was about to get away.
The Denobulan got to his feet and wiped his bleeding lip. "You are strong."
"It's the Vulcan in me."
The Denobulan smiled eerily. He moved right and Sabastian turned to block his exit. Unfortunately he didn't see the second guy behind him. He reared back as a blade lodged itself in his lower back.
"Sorry I can't stay..."
A Starfleet officer soon interrupted the Denobulan, "shame, seemed like the party was just getting started." He fired two shots of his phaser, dropping the man and the other behind Sabastian. He rushed over to the engineer, "you alright, Commander?"
He gave a grunt. "Hurts like...well I'm too polite to say."
The man nodded, "I'll assume it's all the words. Come on-- let me get you to medical." He gestured for some security officers to assist with clean up as he stood up. "I'm Giovanni Baciami, by the way. The guy you decided to delay as a gift for my sister-- punishment for being late."
He grinned. "Ah..well I could use some of your Grappa now." He stood green Vulcan blood pumping out of the wound. "Thanks for your help with them." He gestured to the Debobulans. Sabastian leaned on the man as they stumbled forward. "Your sister has a hell of a punch."
"They sell it on base and damn, don't I know it. I have the scars to prove it," he chuckled. Giovanni held his hand against the wound as best he could, "come on, my ship is closer than the med bay and the doctor is still there." He decided to keep talking to distract from the pain, "in her defense there are eight of us, so she knows how to pack a punch. Plus she was undercover in some nasty rings on Freecloud for years."
"Ugh...that place has a Chicken dish that will melt your insides if you eat it."
"Barnies? Bernie's?" He chuckled, "yes, I've heard of it." Giovanni had less of an accent than Adrianna, it was odd that such close siblings could be so different.
He laughed. "Yeah. Actually I have a romantic fool on the station that just arrived that's going to propose to your sister shortly." He grunted as they entered the lift and rested against the wall fighting waves of pain. "Fiddle that hurts,” He sucked in air to get through the pain.
"Excuse me?" He asked, "I need a name and to meet this guy. Literally, I know nothing. My mother has told me a little, but we are a traditional family. He needs permission."
"Oh he plans to get it. Will introduce you....pending I survive." He groaned. "I hope to hell my mate can't feel this."
"He best do," Giovanni almost growled, "and don't be so dramatic-- or I'll set my sister on you when she gets back from her mission."
He snorted. "I'm pretty sure she'll be fine. I built my mate a tub and she's been enjoying it too so I'm pretty sure I'm on her good side...for the moment."
They managed to get to his ship and to the med-bay, "ah, well, you can't go wrong there. Just be warned-- she can turn if you hurt those she loves. Including other people she loves." He chuckled.
"Ah so Vance is safe from you then..." He tried for a grin. "Although they are similar in that. He did tell me about when she was undercover how he blew up a ship cause they tried to hurt her...so I'd be cautious with that one."
"I need to know that story," Gio paused, "wait..." He took a step back so that the doctor could help out, "undercover? So he's also intel? I thought he was an engineer?"
"He is and Engineer....but I think I better let your sister tell you the rest." He hissed in pain as the doctor worked.
Giovanni nodded. He knew that he should wait. Hearing the hiss, Giovanni quickly filled the quiet with distraction, "what are your impressions of him-- man to man."
He pressed his lips together as the doctor worked then directed his attention to Giovanni. "He loves her fiercely. He seems like a goodish man. He's big on family since he didn't have one of his own, Zai, my mate says he's one of his most trusted confidants and that's high praise."
Giovanni nodded, "that's good to know. I just want my little sister safe and happy. I know she's happy-- I just want to make sure she'll be cared for. What hesitation do you have? You said goodish."
"He's not your average Fleeter." He hissed again, "Doc...can you like not add salt to the wound."
The doctor snorted. "Part of the job buddy."
Sabastian sighed. He looked back at Giovanni. "He was injured saving your sister a while go, lost his memory when he got it back and reported to Starfleet that he got it back I understand from a buddy in Tactical that the Fleet offered him a permanent place as long as he signed a life time contract...part of that was out of fear of him and that comes from some high up admirals... He's got a temper but most of that is directed to whoever seems to think ill of your sister. I gather from Zai that anyone who has hurt your sister or tried to has wound up...vented or in a million bits."
"Ah. Good ISH," Giovanni nodded his understanding, "well, at least he is protective, I suppose. My sister can be unpredictable though. If she ever crossed him--" he paused not finishing the train of thought, "alright. So, tell me about your mate."
"Capellan, Eleventh Tribe." The doc said.
Sabastian grunted. "How...did you.."
"Was on Capella for a few years during the worst of the war. Treated many of their people. Looks like your mate is in pre metamorphosis. Scans showing cell changes on your part I'm guessing they told you about this?"
He sighed. "Yes, he did. Xingtian.."
The doctor coughed "As in the king of the freeken tribe?"
