Location: Starbase 2

Fang walked along the station. He was just about to buy the last of what he needed when, out of the corner of his eye he noticed Sabastian walker. The day before came rushing back to him….

Gifts and Suprises Part II – Snip Shot….

Fang looked up shock, surprise and rage filling him. "What the hell are you doing here?"

Sabastian Walker smiled. "That's what the hell are you, Lieutenant Commander Walker, doing here." His grey eyes flashed. "I'm the chief engineer of this station and I have something you lost."

Fang growled. "I doubt that."

"Well don't. You arrogant piece of garbage. All you can do is take isn't it."

Fang stood up edging for a fight.

"That's enough, gentleman," Adrianna slammed her hand down onto the table to gain attention, "save it for a ring, or I will end you both." Her tone was cold and almost psychopathic, but she was firm and sounding controlled.

"Sit down Lieutenant, I know who you are. Like it or not I outrank the entire table. Now then. You," He pointed at Fang who had sat down. "You hurt him so much. You forced him in a counseling session when he wasn't ready to relive the most traumatic day in his life. He was what...sixteen when he had to fight your tribe to defend his people. He was wounded and out of an entire village he woke up bleeding, alone, and surrounded by.." Sabastian had to stop to center himself. "Do you know what he went through? Do you?! Then you lead him on, give him hope of.." He tried to control his anger. He focused on his love for Zai. "I have loved him since the day I met him. I have been there. When he almost died when you graduated and left because he had such a strong link to you that he couldn't eat, or sleep, or drink and he lapsed into a coma and almost died, I brought him back, me. I nursed him back to health that year, brought him out of the shadows. Then you do this to him rip his heart out and on top of that Zai heard what you said to that ops guy on the ship. He heard every word and that was the dagger that broke him. Do you know how I found him? He was on the station pale, shaking, in the middle of an anxiety episode. He passed out. Again, I was there and I will be there long after you are gone. So don't look for him. He's staying in a safe place for a few days to recover and get his emotions under control. No let me be clear. He's staying with me and if I can convince him he won't get back on that ship again."

He straightened. "That's all. He's happy today, smiling. Don't destroy that too." He turned and headed for the door where it opened just as he got there and Zai walked in. Sabastian hugged him there and directed him away so that he wouldn't see Fang and the ladies. He would arrange to come back later. He led a smiling Zai out making sure to keep his arm around him to show Fang that he would lose.

Fang watched he didn't make a move. Sabastian had been right. Zai looked happy and after seeing him upset, hearing what Zai had gone through...something Zai had confided in Sabastian about but not him. It felt devastating.

Angry he followed Sabastian...


** Some Time Later **

Jon Catteli sat at his computer and groaned. "Hannah, open a coms to Adrianna Baciami, emergency. Tell her to get to the Base's security office in like yesterday."

Hanna sighed. "Yes sir. She sent the message."

Catteli was an old friend, he worked the same job she did before he took on this tamer job after he married Vanessa.

Adrianna ran at full speed out of her office down to the base's security. When she got there she quickly said, "the last time you told me to get somewhere yesterday, I almost ended up out of an airlock. What-- merde--" Oh she could see firsthand what was going on.

Catteli had the screen going. It was replaying an argument between two familiar people. "One of those is mine, and one is yours. Now then.... the argument escalated and they are now on their way to Section Alpha three Charlie which is not in use but has two airlocks. I sense a fight brewing. I could send a team but neither of us wants our Chief Engineers...in the brig I gather."

Adrianna groaned, rubbing her temple. "How about, we pull the same stunt we did on Orion, when Hal and Cam decided to fight it out? This is a fight that is needed-- we just stop it before even medical can't fix them. Come on, let's go."

Catteli. "You got it. Hell by the time we get there who knows." He looked at a tall Vulcan officer off to the side. "Sotari you're with us. One is half Vulcan and the other Capellan, the damage...can be big and I hear both like to press the vent airlock button so..."

The Vulcan stood up and gave a nod. "I am betting on Chief Walker."

Catteli snorted. "You're on." He looked at Adri. "Sorry we like to bet."

Adrianna snorted, "cazzone, I'm in. But I have to support my own." Getting back to topic as they hastened to the air locks, "I'll take the lead. Promise I won't miss this time."

"Phasers to stun if we need them. Let's get to it.
