Mission: Stars Around the Well
Location: Earth, Starfleet Academy Tokyo Japan
Timeline: May Years Ago (Final year at the Academy Zai)

ON:

Zai lay on his bed staring up at the ceiling. Four years...he'd been on Earth for four years and every single time he'd missed his objective and here he was, at the end of the four years about to graduate the Academy with honors, not having achieved his original goal but having reached a milestone that he probably wouldn't have reached if he'd stayed on Capella.

Still he had a job to do. He was here for revenge on the man who'd left him on Capella to die. The person who'd sent a Starfleet officer to kill him. The Vulcan doctor's had said that a few inches to the right and he would have died. Still Zai couldn't reconcile that act with the person he knew. This year away from him had been both the hardest and best thing for him. He was thinking clearly, revenge back on his mind, the spell that Fang had cast was gone yet the year had also been agonizing. It had felt as if a part of him had been missing.

He touched the scar on his belly from the knife wound that the Starfleet bastard had left. It had healed to a point, just as Zai had healed to a point. Now he had to find a way to get to Fang and finish what he'd come here to do.

His thoughts were interrupted by the chime at his door. He sighed as he debated putting on a shirt. But what for? Who would come to see him? It was probably the floor monitor making sure all graduates were in their rooms the night before the ceremony. He stood and walked to the door using his hand to straighten his hair, still damp from his shower as it hung to his mid back and slightly curling as it did. He had been blessed with natural curls.

He sighed as he touched the panel that would open the door. Expecting the floor monitor he froze when he saw a pair of hot chocolate coloured eyes staring at him. As if conjured by his thoughts Lee Fang stood before him looking better then he should. He had his hair in that familiar bun on his head covered with a silver hair clip and then the rest hanging down his back. He was in jeans and a t-shirt that looked as if it could barely contain his body.

Suddenly Zai felt as if he hadn't had water in years. He couldn't form words. Fang had been gone for a year and Zai had worked him out of his system yet here he stood and the spell he'd cast seemed to return with force.

Fang blinked a few times seeming to take Zai in from head to toe. He smiled that devastating smile of his. "Can I come in or should I stand here all night?"

Zai snapped out of his momentary waking coma and stepped back.

Fang gave a little eyebrow waggle as he came into the small home. "You moved into a smaller place. I told you I would help with expenses even though I wasn't there."

Yeah, I was trying to forget you. "I figured this would be better. A small bachelor. Easier to clear" No memories of you walking around as if you owned the place He paused. "So, why are you here?"

Fang dropped his bag and turned around giving Zai one of those looks that said 'Are you kidding me?'

"Hands off hips and take that exasperated expression off your face. Seriously what are you doing here?"

Fang walked over and placed his hands on Zai's shoulder his thumbs gently rubbing circles on Zai's shoulder blades. "Tomorrow is your graduation. I'm here for the ceremony and to spend time with you. Took some leave and to deliver some amazing news as well."

"Oh?" Zai asked as he headed to the small kitchenette to pour water for Fang.

Fang walked over to the sofa and dropped down into it. "Yeah. First and foremost why didn't you return my last letter?"

Zai came back into the Livingroom area dropping the water on the table. "I've had a lot on my mind."

Fang smiled. "Well then I've come in time to help you clear your mind."

Before he could elaborate the door chimed. "Shit! Floor monitor, we're not supposed to..."

"Have visitors or go out. I got it. I graduated from here too you know." He looked around. "They'll check your room."

Zai looked around. He grabbed Fang's bag and his hand dragging him into the bedroom and opening the closet. "Get in."

"You want me to get in the closet?"

"Yeah it's a bit small but get in."

"Are you serious?"

"Fang the door has chimed several times get the hell in the closet!" Zai proceeded to shove Fang inside and then tossed Fang's bag in closing it firmly. He grabbed a towel that he slung over his shoulders and headed to the Livingroom just as his door opened.

He all but growled. Of course the floor monitor had the code. "Sorry was in the bathroom."

The mousy Andorian gave a nod. "Fine, fine. Are you alone?"

"Yes."

"I thought I heard voices."

"I was watching a drama vid."

The Andorian raised an eyebrow. "In the bathroom? You were watching a drama vid in the bathroom?"

"Pfff. Yeah. That's like, the best place to watch them. Good acoustics."

The Andorian was silent for a long time his eyes narrow and then said, "oh...okay. Well I still have to search."

Zai motioned with his hand palm up. "Search away Dora."

"My name is Annikkalin. Not Dora."

Zai rolled his lavender eyes trying not to look nervous. The whole floor called him Dora after an old Earth cartoon about someone with the same name who liked to explore.

The Andorian looked in the bathroom, bedroom, and small storage area. He also opened a drawer for some reason.

"Seriously Dora, you think I can hide someone in a drawer?"

"I have to look everyone."

Zai sighed. Thankfully 'everywhere' didn't include the closet. "Are you done I am tired I want to sleep."

The Andorian sighed. "Fine. All clear. Rest early."

Zai watched him go and hurried to engage the lock. He then ran back to the bedroom and knocked. "Fang? Still alive?"

"Open the door Zai! I need to come out of the closet."

"Are you sure?"

"Zai!"

Zai smiled as he hit the door open button. He hadn't calculated that the closet could barely hold a six foot three man. As soon as the door opened Fang literally fell out and onto Zai dragging them both to the floor.

Zai noted that Fang had managed to place a hand behind Zai's head to keep it from hitting the ground.

"Congratulations, you're out of the closet. You just sprang right out."

"I hate you so much."

Zai laughed. "Really?"

"No."

Still grinning Zai looked into Fang's eyes. "So, not that I'm complaining but you mind if we get up. I really do have a show I want to watch tonight."

Fang leapt up. "Sorry, sorry."

Zai shrugged as he boosted himself onto his elbows still on the floor. He reached out a hand. "Well you could help me up?"

Fang sighed. "Sorry." He grabbed Zai's hand and pulled him up.

"You okay there? You seem flustered." Zai said as he walked back out of the bedroom and into the Livingroom.

Fang took a few deep breaths before he followed. "Now that you've been checked by the monitor how about we escape and have a night out?"

Zai looked up at him enjoying how red Fang's face was. "What do you have in mind and why are you blushing?"

"Surprise...and I'm not blushing."

"You're blushing."

"Shut up Zai and put on a shirt."
