ON:

Adrianna had just stepped out of the shower following a long shift and gym session. She was in pyjamas ready for bed when she heard a familiar chirpy. Whilst rubbing moisturizer on her arms she answered the call, "Mamma, hai un tempismo impeccabile-- oh! Amore mio! Buonosera! I'm sorry, I should start looking at the caller ID before I answer. How is your vacation?" She sat down, straightening her pyjamas, her heart racing as she saw him again. It felt comforting just seeing him.

He smiled. "I know it's been a while, I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you."

She waved him off, "no, don't worry. You warned me that you would be off the grid. I just missed you more than I thought I would." She blushed when she admitted it.

He smiled. "I got your message."

Adrianna smiled and blushed a little harder, "sorry-- it had been a long day and you were the only one I wanted to talk to."

He grinned. "I have some questions."

She looked away from the screen. She didn't want to him to see her disappointed if he didn't have his memories back and if it had been false hope. After taking a moment to compose herself, she nodded, "sure. Do I need grappa for these questions?"

"First did Zai and Fang kill one another yet?"

Adrianna chuckled, "no. Not yet. If anything I think it'll be better for them. No more secrets, right?" He put her at ease with one question. She relaxed and sat back, against her headboard. "I think Sabastian would be more at risk than either of them."

"Oh?" He chuckled. "Sab... I keep forgetting he hates that name." He sighed. "Sabastian is stronger then he looks and frankly I hear that he's the only one that wiped the floor with Fang back at the Academy. Just knocked him right out."

"Remind me to get into the ring with Sabastian next time I see him. Could use a training session," she mused, "I mean, I've already beaten Fang once, but it was a--" she considered her words carefully before grinning, "it was a low blow."

He laughed. "Well this was world class knock out. Zai doesn't even know it was at the Academy just before Zai graduated when he found out Zai was going to the Sakura with Fang. I was there as Zai's friend at the time and oh man it was epic. The man just grabbed him by the throat and slammed him down it was... epic... and it was a boxing match from there. Fang was unable to lay a finger on him and Fang is strong as hell!"

Adrianna nodded impressed, "wow. I definitely need a lesson or two then." She ran her fingers through her damp hair. It was curling as it was drying. She grabbed a hair bobble and tied it up in a messy bun as she spoke, "it would be fun to use it against Fang the next time I have to hit him."

He grinned mischievously. "And did I understand you right? I'm allowed to say I told you so about Sabastian?"

Adrianna glared directly into the screen, but there was a spark of mischief in her eyes and a soft smirk on her lips. "No, you cazzone, I said that you could save me saying a specific phrase as it is a rarity that you will hear me say it."

He laughed. "I'm still enjoying it." He paused. "I also read the rest of that message, a Chicken Journal?"

She reached over to her night stand and pulled out a small note book. She flicked through the pages, showing him chicken stickers and notes of where she found them, "I blame you. This has you written all over it." She didn't want to put Zai as telling her about it.

He grinned. "How would it have me written all over it. I'm here and you're there. You're finding chicken stickers on your ship? That's dark."

"Madonna-- Amore mio-- your grin says it all," she shook her head in amusement, "are you telling me that the grin and intrigue are for nothing?"

"PFFFFt mere good mood."

She gave him a knowing look, but then her gaze seemed to sadden. What if she had been just too hopeful, thinking he had his memories back? The chickens could just be in reference to Bernie's after all, and the trip to Betazed, just a vacation. Adrianna cleared her throat and tried to regain composure, not wanting to spiral, "so-- how is Betazed?"

"Well I visited Zai's people. They are a nosy bunch but fun. I don't think I've ever drunk like that in my life I could not move for like three days. No offense but even your Grappa is tame compared to their spirits. Apparently Sab contacted Zai's sister and the soul reader and it's a think here everyone is thrilled and can't wait for the ceremony. Other then that I visited a few holy places here on Betazed they are so full of joy and love." He wasn't about to give anything away. He remembered more and more each day but the first thing he'd remembered was the promises.

"I mean, I could out drink you anyway. I remember on our last mission, you decided to take a drink to help nullify the effects of bloodwine. Meanwhile, I just drank the bloodwine and felt nothing. You're a lightweight. One whiskey and you were always done-- well, not completely true-- maybe three, but your measures were always off," She tried to smile, but she could feel her hope dwindling and it showed in her eyes as much as she was trying not to. Regardless, she still had him back, they could still try and be together again, she just longed for her Vance.

"Say I have a bit more work here and then I will be at the station. I think I'll still be around when you all are there from your investigation. How about dinner when you arrive. I know a great place that serves Chicken."

She looked away for a moment, she could feel herself doubting herself, barely hearing his words of her spiraling thoughts. "Si, sounds great," she cleared her throat, and gave a soft nod, "I think I'd be happy to eat one instead of find one."

She paused, "Vance, can I ask you something?"
