Adrianna,

You’ve had all this going on with Jason, and you didn’t tell me? This man put you through hell, and you handled it alone? I would’ve come right over, handled him myself if I’d known what he’d done. You’re my sister, and I should know if anyone is out of line with you. He’s lucky I didn’t find out sooner.

And now I hear about this Vance you’re serious about – but only now, after everything? I don’t know him, but if he’s a man from your past and has your heart, I need to be sure he’s worthy of it.

I’m happy you’ve found love, truly. But you know family comes first, Adie. You could have saved yourself some pain if you’d let me in sooner. I don't know what difference I would have made but at the least, I would have understood and been there for you when it came to Jason and the drama surrounding Vance.

You are my little sister– our little sister. I'm sure all of the brothers would agree that you mean everything to us. You remember how we handled highschool boyfriends and whatnot.

Never forget that you are an amazing human being, even if you did have someone push a clown into me and send me for a swim. You deserve to be happy– in whatever form that takes.

Capitan!

I don't care if you are a captain now. Your opening should be ‘hi Adrianna, how are you? I miss you. Sorry that I missed you the other week’.

Firstly, I'm sorry that I missed you on Starbase 2. You, once again, were late… surprised you made it to being a captain when you are always notoriously late.

Secondly, I was handling it. I still am. I know that Jason is about to be transferred to your ship. Please don't kill him. It's my fault that he is like this and I will tell you the whys when we see each other in person again.

Thirdly– I assume you found out from mamma. You are such a mamma's boy! Vance is a man from my past, but, again, it is a story for when we are together in person. But about the guy that pushed the clown... Don't kill me. I will also try and convince him to come to mamma's birthday party. I have not invited him yet as it's a bit complicated, but I have told him about it. I will explain all, I promise.

I wouldn't miss it and I've already arranged as much as I can at this point to ensure that I will be there. Honestly, I'm very excited to be seeing everyone again in person.

Has she decided on what she wants as a gift, yet?

I will demand a full explanation on both counts when we meet. For the record, I won't be punishing Jason too badly. I'll ensure he gets the help he needs– but it won't be up to me. Our security chief is a woman and is looking forward to ensuring that Jason learns some manners.

As for Mamma, she has decided that she wants to go on a ship and base– see what we do for a living and finally experience what space is like. She wants to see more than Earth in her lifetime. They will be joining us when we are both next at Starbase 2. Franco is hoping to be there too, but he's out of Comms range to confirm at the moment. Be warned and ensure that you warn Vance. You know mother.

Speaking of, why the hell did you introduce her to another meddling mother? I'm being sent ‘prospects’ every damn day! I blame you!

We should get a break soon, I heard that Franco is seeing someone now and that Marco is trying for a baby with his wife now. So that buys me some time.

Whilst I can almost hear the tone you wrote that message in… Much better!

Thank you for the heads up. Thankfully, Vance doesn't speak Italian (to my knowledge) and I know that neither I, you or papà, will translate if it's embarrassing… please. I will find a way to take revenge if you do.

I've never been so grateful for having a large family. It means there are a lot of places to look when it comes to this topic.

I have everything crossed for Marco and Lenore. They deserve to be happy and they would make great parents.

I am sure that you will be out of Comms range yourself, soon. I will see you back on Starbase 2. Just know that I've got everything handled and I have some amazing people around me who will keep me safe. Ensure that you stay safe too, ok?

To be honest, after the stunts you've pulled lately, I may translate for my own amusement. It will be fun to see how this guy handles mild banter before he meets the rest of us. Just be grateful that he won't be meeting everyone all at once– someone would out what mamma says. You know this. He would be running!

‘When are you going to marry’ or ‘your babies would be beautiful’ or ‘when will you give me grandbabies’... Not to mention the flirting. Gawd.

Anyway, you're right. We are a few hours from being dead Comms wise.
