Mission: Stars Around the Well
Location: Starbase 6

Fang had excused himself a bit earlier, right after the dinner and now sat in the observation area staring at the stars. He rubbed his chin the bruise Zai had put there getting worse by the minute. He slumped down in the seat.

Adrianna found him not long after. She sat next to him silently, but in clear view.

He smiled at her. "Hey Adri." There was a pause. "Your parents and brothers are amazing. I can see the love despite all the jokes."

She chuckled softly, "that's family. We may joke, but we would die for each other and love each other."

"It's good to see. I come from a big family but we were never this close." He smiled at her. "Did you have a good evening today?"

"Uhh," she smiled and shrugged, "it wasn't too bad until the end. Vance and my brothers are currently in the base brig."

"What happened?"

"Jason--Jason happened," Adrianna sighed.

"Shit. Okay I'll get them out. I'll figure out a way." He sighed.

"I ran out of favours with the security guy on base," she replied, "this may need to be the instance where I call your father for help."

"Way ahead of you. He'll be here in three hours so this will be priority one." He sighed. "Jason in the sickbay?"

Adrianna nodded, "si, and I will be pressing charges, this time. I'm done. I should have done it when it initially happened. I'm sorry that I asked you to stand down." She rested her head on his shoulder.

He smiled. "I'm glad that you changed your mind." He sighed. "I should confess something to you. I know you'll hate me but...."

"You sent Giovanni the CCTV," Adrianna sighed, sitting upright, "I know."

"Yeah. There's that but..." He shook his head. "Never mind. I should go get them sprung asap."

"No, merde, they'll survive-- they deserve some misery for resorting to violence," she shook her head, "what's wrong, fratello?"

Suddenly he broke down crying. "I'm a horrible human being, Adri. I'm just as bad as Frankly."

She raised a brow, "what happened?"

He wiped his eyes. "At the Academy..." He took a breath. "This was back at the Academy. I had graduated the year before....Zai stayed behind. When I came back he was...doing really well. I'm really happy. I was...upset that he didn't pine for me. He seemed close to Sabastian...I heard him tell Frankie that he was thinking of staying with Sabastian...I got scared. I..."

He shook his head.

Adrianna could see where this was going and sighed, nodding for him to continue.

"I couldn't lose him. He was all I had. He looked up to me, he loved me, and yes I'd had relationships through the academy but when they'd ended he was still there loving me no matter what and even though I cared for him deeply I just couldn't...I convinced myself it was Xingtian or nobody so I kept stringing Zai along, giving a little when I was about to lose him. This time it felt different."

He sighed. "I spent days with Zai bringing him back to me and finally he agreed to go to the Sakura with me. I was there when he told Sabastian and I could see how devastated Sab was...it broke him." He shuddered. "Like the horrible person I am, I was happy."

"Hardly like, Jason," Adrianna put a hand on his arm, "Jason is crazy and I believe that he would have followed through with the threat had Vance, Zai, or Gio not been there. You-- you may not be perfect, in fact, you are a cazzone when it comes to Zai, but you would never actually hurt him, right?"

"No. But I hurt Sabastian." He sighed. "I made him believe Zai rejected him and that night I tried to kiss him to prove he was no better then me but...he was. I remember he pushed me away even drunk Zai was the only one he could think of. He was horrified by the kiss but here is the thing I kissed him not the other way round." He leaned his head back on the chair. "Zai found out and well." He pointed to the purple bruise on his chin. "It was just a kiss but he got so mad..."

Adrianna nodded, silent for a moment. "You're a cazzone," she broke the silence before sighing, "the real question is whether or not you have learned from this. If you haven't, then I agree: you are the same as Jason to a point. If you have, then now is your opportunity to move on, and make things right."

He sighed. "There's the thing...I have learned. I see how much he loves Sabastian and vice versa...I ...I want to try and make it up to them but I think Zai is so angry..."

"Anger will fade," Adrianna offered, "once the dust settles, sit them both down and ask what you can do to make it up to them. You cannot apologize to one and not the other-- there is a lack of trust there. It's both, or nothing."

He sighed. "Yeah." There was a pause. "Maybe I should go get your brothers out of the brig. I can get the Admiral on coms and have it solved before he docks."

"And Vance-- don't forget him," she smiled, "I know that you do not speak to your admiral father much, but I really appreciate the help. I owe you." She kissed his cheek softly.

He smiled. "No problem. I should call my adopted mother too. She's been leaving messages and I take it your mother told her like...everything."

"My parents don't know. They had left for the evening," she shrugged, "I assume that it is just gushing over Vance or hitting you."

Fang sighed. Before he could get up Admiral Lee strolled up. "Hello Children."

Adrianna looked up and smiled, "you have impeccable timing, sir."

"The ship got in early. I was down in security, funny thing....heard they had a couple of Baciami's as guests. I've gone ahead and sprung them after a review of the incident they were involved in."

Adrianna breathes a sigh of relief, "what about Vance Adams, sir?"

He snorted. "He's better an ally then foe so he was the first one I sprung." He sighed. "They are all at the café. I suggested they drink some coffee and think about why fighting is bad."

"I won't be interrupting male bonding," she smiled, "if you would excuse me, I have had enough of the opposite sex for one day."

He smiled. "Understandable." He motioned for Fang. "You follow me to the ship and my office. Much to speak about son."

Adrianna smiled, standing up and heading out.
